Business joins campaign to fight breast cancer

Contours Express of Davison has joined other clubs nationwide in a month-long fundraising event called Bunco for Breast Cancer.

The event, founded by a breast cancer survivor, is a game of dice, luck and prizes.

"Our members are a tight knit group brought together with the common goal to lose weight, build lean muscle mass and increase bone density," said Anne Tuma, owner of the Davison Contours Express. "Now we share another mission together — to help rid the world of breast cancer."

The Bunco event is expected to attract current members and their friends to these fun parties. To play, each participant will make a donation, which will be matched by the Contours Express corporate office and submitted directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for research.

Traditionally, most Bunco groups consist of 12 players (usually women) who have a desire for social interaction and a sense of neighborhood and community. Contours Express is inviting members and women interested in supporting the cause to join them at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15.
