DDA awards merchants for holiday decorations

Photos provided DAVISON — The 2012 Davison Downtown Development Authority Christmas Window Decorating contest winners were recently announced.

First Place was awarded to the Davison Secretary of State office, 300 N. Main St., with its Robotic Santa and Carolers in the foyer. The scene continued with snow flakes and the street sign "Christmas on Main St". Check out the wreaths in the windows made from license plates.

Second Place goes to Dirty Paws Dog Grooming, 216 N. Main St. and Third Place was awarded to The Doll Museum, 310 N. Main St.

The DDA extended its thanks to all the businesses that did such a great job decorating downtown Davison for the holidays. It made it a tougher job for the Davison Art Club judges, said Diane Millington, event coordinator for the DDA.
