Davison bowling tops Saginaw Heritage

MT. PLEASANT – The Davison girls’ bowling team faced Saginaw Heritage on Friday at Riverwood Lanes in Mt. Pleasant, a team which the Lady Cards shared the Saginaw Valley League title with last season.

Davison came out on top though, winning 24-6. In the Baker games, Davison threw an impressive 279. Bailey Gipson rolled a 232, Abigail Arnes 181 and Lindsey Gipson 180.

The Davison boys’ also defeated Saginaw Heritage, 28-2 for their first win of the season. Miles Luebke threw a 215, Brandon Kreiner 214 and Issac Dudla 185.

Last Wednesday, Davison faced Bay City Western, where the Lady Cardinals lost 18-12 after splitting the Baker games and falling short in the individual matches. Lindsey Gipson led with a 223. Callie Richardson-Fuller threw a 186 and Megan Burda added a 182.

As for the Davison boys, they fell to Bay City Western 20-10. The boys split the Baker games as well and were outscored in the individual games. Dudla rolled a 202, Ashely 199 and Tyler Williams 189.

Davison faced Bay City Central following Wednesday’s press deadlines and will face Mt. Pleasant on Saturday.
